By Buck on Jun 17, 2008 in peron75 vlogs
Hey everyone! Here is my first entry in my Michael Buckley- School Year Vlog Series.
I hope you enjoy! First grade coming soon!
Here is the link on You Tube - you know what to do! LOL
I hope you will make a video response! If not- atleast leave a comment and tell me about your time in Kindergarten!
XO Buck

I didn’t attend kindergarten, so I don’t have any amusing anecdotes to share. The video was cute, though.

Kindergarten:
So mommy was room mother for MY class, and she had to sneak in to help in my classroom so you wouldn’t see her and cry. I had to sit on the bus with you every single day even though I really wanted to sit with Kim Lee. By the way WHO wore a diaper??? My class didn’t nap?!
My kindergarten memories are: the day i got to pick out my own outfit (monogrammed sweater); the letter people; kim lee crying wolf about going potty; crying when mommy volunteered because she would never pick me to answer. oooh…and ONCE i got my name on the board for talking and had to sit on the wall for recess…devastated. I also cried when someone said “michael, michael motorcyle. turn the key and watch him pee”…i thought they were talking about YOU. I also remember thinking someone swore when she said stupid.

This was such a great idea!
About Kindergarten, I remember that I had hives I got from taking medicine I turned out to be allergic to, and my dad had to go in with me to class and tell everyone I wasn’t contagious and they didn’t have to be scared of me.
Also, I had afternoon Kindergarten, but there was another girl named Ashley in the morning class, and at the end of the year when we got to take our artwork home, the teacher gave me the other Ashley’s. Her work was all much better than mine, so I didn’t mind.

My kindergarten was awesome. I was a babe magnet for some reason. I once had 3 girlfriends at once. Although one did leave and I still remember the day she walked out, I was heart broken. I will make a vlog within the next couple days explaining my kindergarten. But the just of it is
I will do one on my other channel within the next couple days and I will stick with you on the grades
Glimps of my kindergarten include
1. Having 3 girlfriends at once
2. Having the one girl that I truly loved leave
3. Playing in the rice box
4. Having a nice teacher
5. Still not knowing how to tie by shoes
(that is grade 1)
I will post it on my other account since it has nothing yet

No kindergarten here - I had Playgroup (there’s also Nursery which would be the equivellant).
My memories are a ginger kid that used to bully me, looking back at pictures I was probably bigger than him so I don’t know why I let it get to me but I SO got my own back on him - went to same high school and I’ve been adding friends to Facebook so I created a ‘Childhood Embarassment’ folder and tagged the worst photos of him at Playgroup! Mwhhaha!
Buttt… I did have a boyfriend at Playgroup so at the Christmas nativity play I was the Star and he was Santa (why was santa in the nativity though!) and we had to kiss - of course photo taken. A few years ago I was invited to his 21st and his mum had pinned a pic up of it to embarass us

I love that you’re sharing your school years! I have a GREAT IDEA! You should show us a picture of you from each year! It would help us more visually.
BTW, sounds like you were such a sweet kid!
I remember crying because I got yelled at for taking too long finger painting. My teacher’s name was Ms. Smile.

Ahh, kingyclass. One huge thing sticks out in my mind. My mother forgot to pay my snack dues for the month so she sent a snack she made in with me, a bunch of Oreos and a glass of milk in a tupperware cup with a lid…the teacher flipped, took my snack and threw it away. I go home, crying, tell my mom what happened, she calls my crazy uncle up, he goes down to my school, gets in a fight with the principle and gets arrested.
He, to this very day re-tells this story at family get-together, and reminds me I owe him because of this. LOL

in nursery there was a boy with the same name as me. he would get called “camden” and i would get called “camden2″ i was like, why is it im the one getting called “camden2″?? so when i went up to primary school, on the first day i noticed that the same boy was in my class, so when the teacher called the register i repied by saying that they had got my name wrong and that my name was stephen. (after my grandad) nobody noticed or checked it, so for a whole year i was called stephen. that name is on all my books and pictures from junior year. then on parents evening my mum came to the school and the the teacher said “stephen is doing very well”, my mum said “who’s stephen”?…. i was kinda ,naughty i once drew all over my bedroom walls a huge menagerie of chocolate animals with biscuits, my mum had to redecorate! lol

I don’t remember much fro kindergarten but I do remember the teacher was sorta mean and wouldn’t say my name right or had me with a diff name or something. I do remember standing in the hallway and kicking a ball and lining up for whatever that was for. and field day at the end of the year, got ribbons and stuff and I don’t think I got many ribbons. I had the same problem with school I would always say my stomach hurt even if it didn’t to try to go home, also I had a lot of gas, I know tmi, but imy stomach gurgled a lot and I remember people being mean about it. Yeah, so for I don’t remember much that was alot lol. thanks for sharing your story
Love ya xoxo Liana

That is what they say that boys are more attached to their mothers at that age. I just went to see my friend her son is 4 and he is always so good and I liked him. (I’m not big on kids) He was really bad this time…..Can’t say I liked him that much!

Hey Buck!! I have been watching your videos for the last months. I love them. Anyway, the big “K”. I was in the morning class and I remember my teacher seemed pretty sane and very sweet. Back then we learned our ABC’s with these big blow up characters. Nowadays they are learning reading and addition. Yikes!!! I loved naptime, pretended to sleep. I do remember peeing my pants. Oh no!! I couldn’t get my sweet little red tights down. No wonder I hate wearing panty hose. HAHA!!! I also remember we hatched baby ducks in an incubator. I remember being really mad at my mom because she wouldn’t let me bring one home like some ofher parents did in my class. Life was so unfair.

I just loved my Kindergarten teacher Miss Seagel. She was great!! We only had it for half a day also, in the afternoon. I just loved the finger painting , that was my favorite thing to do.

Why do you have to play Pull Shapes instead of different songs?

My teachers name was Mrs. Beaver.
And she was super nice, but the room mother was mean. Her daughter always kicked me out of the kitchen area and made me cry, and then her mom would yell at me =[I was the tallest person in my class (witch is weird cause now im the shortest) oh! and I never cried for my mom. I went in the afternoon so that was cool. And I remember always singing.
thats it!

Oh yay! This is fun! I love walking down memory lane…
So, my kindergarden teacher’s name was (wait for it) Mrs. Applebee!!! It was the most fun name for a kid to say at the time..I know, she was like destined to be a kindergarden teacher or something… oh, wait a tick, that’s her married name!! Hahah.. there goes that theory… anyway! I also remember arts and crafts… I LOVED arts and crafts… (still true today!) I remember our winter/Christmas concerts where all us girls were shoved into huge piles red and green taffeta or a heavy velvet dress.. oh the 80’s.. but they were the best!!! Gosh, I loved singing in the choir.. stil love singing today.. man! this is werid! So much of who we are today, starts when we’re FIVE years old! THat’s insane! But so cool… What else do I remember… oh, getting a new bike and riding it to school… oh yeah and with my new bike and I had to get a lock for my bike, but it was a combination one and I struggled to remember it, but was determined to and not take a piece of paper out of my back-pack everytime when I went to unchain my bike.. hahah.. how loser-ish would have I looked!
I
t’s werid, I remember more of pre-school than kindergarden… we did a winter hayride in pre-school… it was a huge sleigh pulled by horses.. and all us kids (plus the helper mom’s… one was mine!!) got to sit on a hay-bale and we were all FASINATED with the horses and being outside and moving in a sleigh.. it was fantastic… (I’m from the Canadian-equivelent of Montana… it’s Alberta! haha)
Anyway, great idea for a vlog series… I am not looking forward to grade 7 (no friends! rumours! it was TERRIBLE!), but nothing I can’t handle… :o)

haha(=, I totally relate to being an emotional mommys boy in kindergarten, when I was growing up my dad was working all the time, and I always just hung out with my mom. I remember my mom use to go to work around 3pm and I didn’t get out of school till 2:30pm and I would always hurry home from school so i could see my mom just before she left to work. I remember on the days she left to work early before I got home, and I didn’t get to see her i would just cry and cry. I would get so mad, and fight with my older brother too, just cause mom wasn’t home. I got so upset and mad if I didnt see my mom before she went to work. It complety ruined my whole entire day if I didn’t get to see my mom that day, it was the worse feeling.

Hmm. kindergarten?
Uhm.. I remember on my first day I tried to light fire by banging 2 wooden blocks together.
I remember crying at first (your right about guys, attached to moms lol.)
-I remember being jealous of the older kids because kindergarten didn’t get recess.
-I remember there was like this model house thing. It was actually 2 floors that went almost to the roof, my friends, who were mostly girls always wanted to play house.. Always got stuck being the dog. Yeh…
- I remember there was this one really smelly kid that I couldn’t stand to be near, but I was far too nice to say anything, but it nearly killed me to sit beside him in a circle. He moved after kindergarten. I was happy. I wonder what ever happend to him..
-I believe we made a paper mache piggy bank… and whenever I drew pictures of my family, I always had blue eyes and a red sweater. I haven’t worn a red sweater anytime I can remember, nor do I have blue eyes. I don’t get it either.
-I remember we had to do a daily “gather by the calendar.. What day of the week is it…and it is the… *insert number*” I remember it was so boring and easy that one day a few months into it when she said “lets do calendar” I did a slightly hysterical laugh which cause her and the class to stare at me like “.What in the hell..” I still remember my cheeks burning and my awkward shuffle from seeing them look at me.
Lmao
..Man I had a screwed up kindergarten.
DEF do more of these Buck!! I like having flash backs!

In here kindergarden is like preschool, maybe? But anyway, I remember vividly how I learned how to tie my shoes, I was so proud, and I remember I was the only girl who got to play teenage mutant ninja turtles with the boys, I got to be April, I was more proud:D
